These are the terms on which we sell digital downloads — guides, templates and course material bought from this website. They are separate from our general website terms, and they apply to your purchase.
Who you are buying from
Velvet Studio Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17216315, registered office 1 Holly Bank, Upper Poppleton, York, YO26 6DZ.
Email hello@velvetstudiodesign.co.uk. We are not VAT registered, so the price you see is the price you pay and no VAT is added.
What you are buying
A digital file, delivered by email, for you to keep. There is no subscription, no recurring payment, and nothing to cancel later. The description on the sales page tells you what is in it and roughly how long it is.
You are buying it for your own business. You may use anything in it — prompts, templates, wording — in your own work, including work you are paid for. You may not resell it, share the file, or publish it as your own.
Price and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include everything you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe on their own secure checkout page. We never see or store your card details.
Delivery
Your download link is emailed to you as soon as your payment clears, usually within a minute or two. The link is yours and does not expire.
If it has not arrived within an hour, check your spam folder first, then email hello@velvetstudiodesign.co.uk and we will send it again. This is the most common problem people have and it is always quickly fixed.
Your right to cancel
Normally, buying online gives you 14 days to change your mind and get your money back. Digital downloads are the exception, and the rule is worth stating plainly rather than hiding.
When you buy, you are asked to tick a box confirming two things: that you want the file supplied to you straight away, and that you understand you lose the 14-day right to cancel once it has been. That tick is what allows us to send it immediately instead of making you wait a fortnight. We record the date and time you gave it.
If you did not tick it, you did not buy it — the checkout will not proceed without it.
Refunds
The paragraph above is the legal position. It is not our refund policy, and we would rather have a happy person than your £24.
If you buy something and it is not what you expected, email hello@velvetstudiodesign.co.uk within 30 days and tell us what was wrong. We will refund you. You do not have to justify yourself, return anything, or delete the file. We would genuinely rather know what missed, so please say.
We will also always refund you if the file is faulty, will not open, or is not what the sales page described.
Faults and what you are entitled to
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If it is not, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and to a refund where that is not possible. Nothing in these terms takes that away.
Changes to what you have bought
We sometimes revise and improve a guide after publishing it. If we do, you get the updated version at no extra cost, at the same download link.
We may stop selling something at any time. That does not affect anything you have already bought.
If something goes wrong
Email hello@velvetstudiodesign.co.uk. We answer on Mondays, and sooner if it is urgent. If we cannot sort it out between us, you can take a dispute to your card provider, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected by anything in these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales.
